How to Integrate Eloqua with Zuddl

Eloqua helps you create automated marketing campaigns with advanced lead scoring, real-time firmographic data, and an integrated tool for better sales lead generation. The Eloqua-Zuddl integration enables you to generate and deliver quality leads to sales by capturing relevant attendee activities in your event.


Integration

The integration connects Zuddl with Eloqua such that it syncs the following attendee details to Eloqua:

  1. The registered attendee data from Zuddl to Eloqua.  So when an attendee registers the event, all the details get transmitted from Zuddl to Eloqua.

  2. Event attendance

  3. Session attendance

  4. Booths visited

Steps

The integration involves the following steps:

  1. Authenticate Eloqua Account

  2. Map Account Fields

  3. Sync Event Attendance

  4. Sync Session Attendance

  5. Sync Booths Visited

Prerequisite

Before we begin with the integration, the following is required:

  • An Eloqua account. Learn how to create an account.

  • The following custom objects must be created in Eloqua:

    1. A new custom object to capture event attendance information passed by Zuddl.

    2. A new custom object to capture session attendance information passed by Zuddl.

    3. A new custom object to capture visited booth information passed by Zuddl.

Authenticate Eloqua Account

The following steps explain the process of creating a new Eloqua authentication for Zuddl.

You can find the Eloqua app on the integration listing page.

  1. On the Eloqua integration page, click Enable Integration. This opens a pop-up window that lists all the previously connected accounts.

  2. Click Add a new account.

  3. On the Create a new authentication window, enter the following details. All fields are mandatory.

    • Your authentication name. A unique name for Zuddl to identify your Eloqua account.

    • Site Name: The name of your company

    • Base URL: The base or root URL of your Eloqua company account. For example https://secure.p01.eloqua.com”

    • Note: The URL must not end with “a/”Username: Your Eloqua username.

    • Tip: We recommend creating a new user for the purpose of integration.Password: Your account password

Map Account Fields

  • On the “Do you want to enable registration syncing page”, select the Registrations to Eloqua checkbox. Enabled by default.

  • The gives your consent to pass attendee registration details to Eloqua.

    Under Data Mapping, select the appropriate Eloqua contact fields for the following (mandatory) Zuddl account fields for capturing correct attendee details:

    • First Name:

    • Last Name:

    • Email:

  • You can also add optional Zuddl fields such as BioDesignationCompanyPhone Number, and Country.

    Note: If there is no matching field existing for a particular Zuddl Account field, you would need to add it in your Eloqua Contact object.

3. Click Next

Sync Event Attendance

An event attendance is captured when an attendee enters an event for the first time.

Prerequisite: It is important to create a custom object in Eloqua to capture the event attendance information passed by Zuddl.

The following steps outlines the steps to enable syncing event attendance information for attendees to Eloqua.

  1. On the “Do you want to sync event attendance status” page, select the Event Attendance checkbox. Enabled by default.

  2. This gives consent to Zuddl for passing the event attendance details over to Eloqua.Select the new Eloqua Custom Object from the dropdown. This is the new custom object created to capture event attendance passed by Zuddl.

3. Once you have selected the custom object, map the following Zuddl event fields to Eloqua custom object.

The name of the Zuddl event.

Describes the event attendance status of an attendee.

4. Click Next.

Sync Session Attendance

A session attendance is captured in Zuddl when an attendee enters a stage or a room for the first time.

Prerequisite: Like for event attendance, it is essential to create a custom object in Eloqua to capture the session attendance information passed by Zuddl.

The following steps outlines the steps to enable syncing session attendance information for attendees in Zuddl to Eloqua.

  1. On the “Do you want to sync session attendance status” page, select the Session Attendance checkbox. Enabled by default.

  1. This gives consent to Zuddl for passing the session attendance details over to Eloqua.Select the new Eloqua Custom Object from the dropdown. This is the new custom object created to capture session attendance passed by Zuddl. This fetches all the associated fields of that object.

  2. Once you have selected the custom object, map the following Zuddl session fields to Eloqua custom object.

4. Click Next.

Sync Visited Booths

This step enables capturing the details of booths visited by an attendee for the first time.

Prerequisite: Like for event and session attendance, it is essential to create a custom object in Eloqua to capture the visited booths information passed by Zuddl.

The following steps outlines the steps to enable syncing visited booths information for attendees in Zuddl to Eloqua.

  1. On the “Do you want to sync booth visited status” page, select the Booth Visited checkbox. Enabled by default.

  1. This gives consent to Zuddl for passing the booth visited details over to Eloqua.Select the new Eloqua Custom Object from the dropdown. This is the new custom object created to capture booth visited passed by Zuddl. This fetches all the associated fields of that object.

  2. Once you have selected the custom object, map the following Zuddl session fields to Eloqua custom object.
